The Asobo Studio-developed flight simulator was Microsoft’s first flight simulation game since 2012’s Microsoft Flight and was named Best Sim/Strategy Game at the 2020 Game Awards. Microsoft Flight Simulator has seen critical acclaim following its July 2020 release amidst the ongoing pandemic. Now, a new development update showed off some new planes coming to the popular game in future updates. Released during a time where many people could not travel due to ongoing world events, the flight simulation game has seen regular updates adding new world landmarks like the Swiss Matterhorn and major cities like Helsinki. Microsoft Flight Simulator was a surprise hit when Asobo Studio released the flight simulation title in 2020.
